Thank you card

My latest project was a thank you card for my wonderful cousin. I used the idea from the cut-at-home website. (http://youtu.be/7p6vLhU14m0)
I'm really happy with the way it turned out. I used paper from the Die Cuts With a View Heirloom stack and Tim Holtz stamp set with Distress ink. I also used my Tim Holtz caged bird die. The band around the card was also from the Heirloom stack and my Mini Rosette die.
Easy to do with beautiful results!

Finally!

Ah surly Thursday how I love thee! Cookies and projects have filled our day. Not to mention a trip to the doctor for my beautiful eye infection. Grrrrr!

Our sitter is coming over today so we decided to let her know how much we love her. I made her a mini book with different words that come to mind when we think of her.

Happy Valentine's Day!

New tag

Here's a tag a made this morning just for fun. I was playing with my new Tim Holtz stamps. Always fun to create. It helps to keep the surlies away.

Snow day!

7-8 inches of snow equal a fun day of crafts! Working on the chipboard album. Maybe a big pot of soup. Sounds like a perfect day.

V Day

Here's a card a made for my mother. I used the rusted enamel technique from Tim Holtz. Just grungy enough for me but not too much for her.

Part 1

Welcome to the Surly Thursday crafting corner.

I'll start with a small introduction. I'm a mother of one, part time retail associate, and full time surly crafter. My style is somewhat grungy depending on who the project is for. I'm a nature lover and mega baker. I've always loved crafts but have recently received a Sizzix Big Shot and begun a full fledged journey into that world. I'll be honest, I'm loving all of the creativity.

I'll be posting projects as they come up. Valentine's Day being the next big "holiday". Can't wait to share!
